
Nothing Lasts Forever, Not even at NJIT
This isn’t the first time NJIT planned to demolish historic buildings on campus. In fact, there was a protest about it in 1989. But now, in 2021, NJIT wants to demolish and rebuild buildings in disarray.
The State Historic Preservation Office denied New Jersey Institute of Technology’s application to demolish four buildings within the city’s first and oldest historic district.
