Newark has seen a massive growth of new faces operating small businesses around the city. In fact, from 2014 to 2019, firms owned by Black women grew by 50%. This is amazing to see!
A rapid growth in small businesses owned by Black women throughout the US is mirrored in Newark. Now, they’re trying to survive through the pandemic.
