Artists Paint the Central Ward

A group of artists were granted permission to paint objects around Newark, including the dull electrical boxes. Now they’re going to be colorful and vibrant. These are more great examples of boosting people’s spirits around the city.

It’s an opportunity for us to expand arts and culture into the neighborhoods. One of the ways to continue the work that we’re already doing is to bring some light to the electrical boxes in our community,” McIver said. “We’re really excited about it.”
